Vocabulary Word of the Week: Frequency

Frequency is our vocabulary word of the week.

Frequency means the number of waves that are made over a period of time. Usually when we talk about frequency in science, we’re talking about sound waves and light waves.

Another way to see frequency is to see the ripple in a puddle of water.

Different sounds have different frequencies and some of them can be very hard to hear. To test this, you and an adult will play different frequencies pitches and report if you heard them or not.
