Readorium announced the winners of its 2013 reading competition. Students earn money in Readorium by reading complex science text and correctly answering comprehension questions at the end of each article. Moustapha Kourouma, a 6th grade student at Benjamin Franklin Middle School in Teaneck, NJ came in first place nationally, having earned $6,301,775.
The students’ teacher, Ms. Shena Jose, praised Readorium, as “opening up a new world of reading [to her students.]” She went on to characterize Readorium as “changing kids’ lives, [making] the love of reading come back to them.”
